JUST CALL HIM T-NYCE.....
What were you doing at the age of 15? Can't remember? Well as for new Hip Hop Artist T-nyce that's the year he decided to start honing his skills to become the NEXT BIG THING!!!
Growing up in a small town in VA, Farmville to be exact, having time to perfect his craft was nothing for this aspiring artist. Like most artist T-nyce started just "freestyling with the homies" in high school. After gaining respect from his peers, T decided to make hip hop a full time career. Developing a humble spirit, T has said that the things he has gone through in the game has molded him to be the artist that he has become.
I had the opportunity to talk to T-nyce for a few and we decided to chat a little about life and music. Check out some of the things he had to say:
Sim D: Whats up bro...Thanks for taking the time and talk to me. Lets jump right into it. Let me know a little about your background.
T-Nyce: Im from a small place called Farmville, VA....real small town in the southern part of VA but right now I'm in Ashburn, VA which is in northern VA so I'm reppin the DMV now...Thats DC, MD and VA It's like a little triangle between us and we all work together.
Sim D: Word! Thats what up. So how did you get your start in the game?
T-Nyce: I got started with this whole thing back in high school when I use to run with a group of friends that was trying to do the whole music thing. I would hear them free-styling whether it be in the hallway or lunch room. I use to be like damn I can do that, so i gave it shot and I haven't stopped since.
Sim D: Tell me a little about the ups and downs you have experienced since starting the music grind.
T-Nyce: Well first off I think that everybody in this game is going to experience ups and downs whether it be your in the zone one minute and then have a major creative block or you run into so sneaky no good people and you get totally mislead I've had all of the above so far. This game can be so misleading, one minute you think you have this until you open your eyes and see whats really going on. Nothing is promised and you really have to work for what you really want. Going through this things just made me wise up and really pay attention to my surroundings and realize that I have to take care of me first and stick to what it is that I'm trying to do without getting side tracked with
someone BS or what they "Think will work" because at the end of the day its all about me....This is
my career.
Sim D: I agree! Great advice! What do you think about the current music scene.?
T-Nyce: At this point and time I think music is going back to that point when its a lot of good music coming out and not that sing-a-long ish. If you look at it , the industry has went through so many phases but now its some good artist out here that's actually talking about something. For instance now you got Drake, Nikki, Young Money in general the whole group is sick J Cole, Ross is about to drop an album, Weezy about to get out, TIP has an album coming, Kanye, Jeezy, Weezy is about
to get out so the Carter 4 is on its way...and that's just some of the main artist that's dropping in the near future, Dipset is now doing a reunion. At this point were getting back to some good lyrical music not all that dance crap and what ever else that came out that was just a phase..
Sim D: Yea at some point the game needs to flush and get music as a whole back on track and get these people out to the stores. So what can we expect from T-Nyce in the near future?
T-Nyce: I just want to be heard. Im not worried about a major deal or anything like that I just want people to listen to my music and enjoy what it is that I have to offer, that's my main goal. Whenever I drop something new I know that people will run to it and enjoy what ever it may be.
Sim D: That's an attainable goal for everyone who believes in themselves. Is there anything you would want your fans and future fans to know?
T-Nyce: Yeah make sure you check out the site www.nycemuzik.com and also check me out on www.thehottestishh.net I have a new mixtape that i just dropped so please take time out and check that out whenever you get a chance. Its just me going in on some of the hottest beats out plus some originals and I call it "In The Zone" so make sure you check that...
Sim D: Aight man, I appreciate you taking time out to speak with us. Yall Def check out this dope artist.
